In order to reach my goal, I will undertake numerous actions outside of working on a beat. First of all, I will have to search for a local artist that is willing to collaborate with me in order to create a song. Next, after I have found an artist, I will converse with the artist in order to kind of test the waters, and find out what kind of production they prefer.. Finally, I will begin producing the final beat while also asking for critiquing from the artist so I know what I can refine. This entire process may seem simple, but it is in fact ridiculously tedious, as well as time-consuming. There will be a lot of scrapping and restarting. However, with an organized plan and an achievable goal, I will be able to complete this process.
I know there will be obstacles and roadblocks throughout the span of this project, such as running out of ideas and creativity, but I know if I stick to my plan and focus on my goal I will be able to get over these bumps and finish my work. One other obstacle I could face is simply being lazy and/or procrastinating. As I have said before, I have never made a full length song, and one reason why is that I procrastinate a lot. Sometimes I become fatigued, or sometimes I just flat out give up on a beat, which is then left unfinished for eternity. This cannot happen during this project. I have to finish what I start. One of my goals in life is to officially become a music producer, and by completing this project--which means not procrastinating and being lazy--my goal will be fulfilled.
